The Centre for Heritage, Environment and Development (C-HED) has achieved a new milestone through the successful completion of renovation works at the dialysis centre and the construction of a new modern laboratory for Palluruthy Taluk Hospital. The project was implemented with the support of BPCL Kochi Refinery’s CSR initiative.
As part of this initiative, the dialysis centre has been upgraded with 10 additional beds, emergency power backup with UPS and generator. Additionally, IT infrastructure including CCTV cameras, laptops, and desktops, as well as improved toilet facilities for both staff and patients has been provided. These enhancements aim to provide quality healthcare services to the local community, ensuring better medical care and comfort for patients and healthcare workers alike by improving public health infrastructure.
The project was officially inaugurated on December 1, 2024, by Hon’ble Minister Smt. Veena George, Minister of Health, Woman and Child Development, Government of Kerala.
