The biennial Global Connect event ‘Emerging Kerala 2012’ witnessed a major step towards protecting its heritage, with the Corporation of Cochin entering into a tripartite joint cooperation programme with French city Lorient. The c-hed has been co-ordinating with Lorient City, UNESCO, and IHCNF in organizing a workshop, the dates of which has been announced. Marking the first phase of the agreement signed between Lorient City and Cochin during the summit, this workshop aims at developing and agreeing on activities, scope of intervention, expected results and distribution of tasks between both the cities.
The workshop will be attended by delegates from the city of Lorient ( France), UNESCO and IHCNF.
